Tight Spot on new chain and sprockets

Hhahah The sprockets were box fresh I'm waiting to hear back from Renthal, I so hope it's a dodgy sprocket.... Actually I might try un-dooing the sprocket bolts to adjust the sprocket a tad in the opposing direction to the tight spot and see if that elevates it at all.

I'm so sick if this! I now have another new chain and new sprocket with the same problem! The tight spot occurring in the same place on the rear each time! Could the Cush drive have anything to do with it? Or carrier bearings? Sod it i might just fit some new bearings to the carrier too!

I wish I could offer some advice, but I haven't got a clue Certainly sounds like something needs sorting out though...! Good luck with it and fingers crossed you get it sorted soon

Are you using a soft link when joining the chain?

Yep, the one supplied with the chain...

How many newton metres did you apply to dome over the soft link ?

I don't know! It's the DID ZVM x 2 chain that has a hollow pin and I use a whale tool so you just leather it with a hammer until the head is flared to the correct spec

It occurs in the same place on the rear sprocket! I marked it, rotated the wheel and each time the sprocket returns to the same postition the chain goes tight! I'm wondering it could be the bearings in the sproctet carrier now!

Also check the rear sprocket on a flat surface make sure that is true as well..
