Harness / loom routing

Postby PMD6 » Sat Nov 19, 2016 11:12 am

Hi All.

I'm working on bring a SP1 back to its former glory.

I now have a original undertray and rear light on the way.

Can someone send me some pictures so I'm sure I have the cables routed correctly.

Please also advise on where the relay pictured should be located and what the white female socket is for?

Finally can I have a picture of the connector that attachs the harness to the rear light - as the bike was fitted with aftermarket lights I think these are not the correct ones

Thanks in advance

Regards

Chris

Hi, the female connector is for diagnostics, you short the pins on it and the dash will show fault codes. Down load the service manual from carl salters website its all in there. The relay looks like an added one needed for LED indicators so you can mount it where you like. Sorry I cant help with loom routing as my bike was in a right state when I bought it so I had to tidy it all up accordingly. Hope this helps.

Thanks. I worked it out after I found a wire diagram.

The 2 wire white plug is for a licence plate light. The 3 wire plug is fitted to a led relay.
