At Donington there isn't a static noise test as such.

There's a flyby test with effectively mics in the gantries (Pit Lane)

If you are found over the limit you get black flagged at which point they will static test you.

With standard exhausts you should be ok, but some of the new bikes (2008 onwards R6 for example) fail even as standard.

No probs mate, would have been good to have met you, but fully understand the cash flow issues... I hadn't budgeted for the track day (£79), or the wheel bearings (£44), or the emergency repairs my car cost me on Monday (£180) - so I'm feeling the pinch myself this month now...

The good news is the new wheel bearings are in. Just need a couple of dry hours now to give the bike a test before Saturday... I don't normally worry about riding in the wet, but I spent over 6 hours the other night really giving her a good deep clean, and won't have time to do it again before Saturday!

Trying the hybrid ceramic bearings this time.
Quite a bit pricier than steel bearings, but half the price of full ceramic.
Should last substantially longer than steel bearings with much less rolling friction.

anyway..... off top of yer ed, does anyone know the size / bearing number for the rear wheel & sprocket carrier???

i know the front are 6204 2rs but could do with rears asap when i pop the new tyres on - going san marino for the wsb next week
