BikeTek rear stand - free to a good home - "SOLD"

Postby grclarke » Tue Feb 22, 2011 6:58 am

Hi fellas,

I bought a front and rear stand last summer for my SP2. My OCD got the better of me and I bought a Honda rear stand to match what I've got for my Blade. So, now I have a red BikeTek rear stand (used only once) cluttering my garage. It's yours for free if you can arrange / pay for delivery (or pick it up - I live in Cheshire).

Cheers,

Gareth

Despite DHL's best efforts, the stand found it's way to it's new home!

This is going to make cleaning and chain maintenance much easier.
My special piece of wood, that I previously used to prop up the back wheel has now been retired!

Thanks again Gareth

Don't throw that special wood away!! :hand:
Now you have a proper rear stand you kneed another special piece of wood to make changing the rear wheel a single handed job.
All i ever do is slide my special plank ( and before you ask, no it is not a M&S plank but if carlsberg made planks I bet they wished they'd made this one ;) ) under the rear wheel and use it to lever the weight of the wheel up so you can pull the rear spindle out with the other hand. It's also good for lifting the wheel back up to align it for the spindle after a tire or chain change too.
See, now you have a use for it again and it can take pride of place back in the garage :geek:

I have been out playing with the forks and just general messing about in the shed, I can't believe I got by this long without a proper stand. I have to get one for the front now, I might even part with money for one! :D

Hey Dmac - don't mention it. Glad it's doing something useful rather than cluttering up my garage!
