Removing handlebar weights

...is there a specific method here?

Reason being, mine seem to have been removed before and after seeing how much Mr Honda wants, I am going to buy some used bars with all the gubbins and attempt a transplant..!

Hopefully I can drag them out of the old ones with the help of some lubricant and insert them into my clip-ons while they are still on the bike.

Anyone done this / replaced / removed them before?

Dont know how easy they will be to get out ,and Number 8 the clip is not meant to be reused in my experience.
Just use David silver and buy the parts,surely simpler ?

Dearer though, found some clip ons complete for a good price.

Dunno, bloody things, could be simpler couldn't it?!
