Hi All

Does anyone know what size are the fuel feed and fuel return hoses on SP2?
I want to fit dry break fuel connectors.

Cheers.

Mark.

I dont have a clue on this sorry but are they ok to use, cause no issues with fueling and do not leak when both parts are apart/together?

When you disconnect the fuel couplings I can take the fuel tank of without fuel going everywhere. Even running the tank as low as you dare, it still leaks everywhere so the couplings will be great.
Ducati, Triumph and KTM have them so they should work fine on the SP :D

Well I finally got around to deciding on which dry break connectors and then fit them.
I went with the Jiffy Tite connector even though they cost £100 against £30 pound for the other version in the photo that I got off ebay.
I went with the Jiffy Tite on build quality and a couple of friends have had the other version in the photos for £30 fail, not something you want when dealing with fuel.

FYI.
The feed hose size is 8mm or 5/16 and the return hose is 6mm or 1/4".
The part numbers for the jiffy tite connectors are.

JT 22504P, PLUG 1/4" P/O VALVED.
JT 21504P, SOCKET 1/4" P/O VALVED.

JT 22505, PLUG 5/16 P/O VALVED.
JT 21505, SOCKET 5/16 P/O VALVED.

Well all is fitted and getting the tank of is a lot easier :D

I got some Jiffytite ones for the feed hose but havent got around to fitting them yet, they do look like very good quality stuff though.
Do they flow both ways or do they have to be fitted in a certain direction?
How much fuel do you lose on the return line when disconnecting it from the tank?

Yes they flow both ways and the return hose loses a lot of fuel when you disconnect.
Don't forget measure twice cut once, when you push the connectors into the fuel line you wont get them out if you have them in wrong place.
A new genuine Honda fuel feed line is about £200 if you get it wrong :angry-banghead:
Good luck

Well its been a busy day, after fitting the fuel connectors and get the tank off, I could then do the shims and then change the coolant hoses and change the plugs and now all done :D .
I've attached some more photos and anything else you want to know let me know
