Modified undertail on an SP2.

So some of you have asked about my undertail. It was modified by the previous (1st) owner.

Today as we're working on his SP2 project, my pal & I took mine off, so he could see how it's fixed on, take measurements and look at how to make improvements whilst designing a 3D CNC mold for a new & improved carbon under tray he plans to make.

I think the tail-light on mine may be from a 954 blade, not sure. The previous owner said it was from a CBR, that was the only info he gave...

Figured if anybody here wants to make their own from a standard under tail these pictures may come in useful. Might be difficult to bend aluminium like this without specialist machinery though?

The rearmost part of the tail seems to have also been trimmed.

Looking forward to seeing what can be molded in carbon fibre for use with an integrated tail light of similar design as the 2 round light designs currently available seem a bit too much like R1 style in design. Are they strong? We're guessing they don't have fittings for relays, etc. either...which makes for untidy wiring if so.

Does anybody know if the undertail on an SP2 is same as on an SP1?

The Black undertray is quite different between the SP1 and SP2 :-

The rear subframe is also significantly different between the two models.

Yep, I realise that thanks chief.
If necessary we'll make an carbon under tray only for SP2 fitment. Better to make as perfect as possible than compromise quality & fitment.
