Hmm, impressive but very odd? There is something drastically wrong with that bike for it to do that on a straight!

Anyway, my most memorable one was not quiet as bad as that but it left me sat on tank doing a knak knak. Oh, that was on the isle of man coming out of rencullen by the way and not on a race track.

Most people get into more trouble because they let of the gas rapidly. Trick is to keep it lit! :shhh:

on the two occasions i went out without a damper that was the kinda slappers i got
and bought times it was accelerating out of a bend
i reckon its hitting the right bumps ripples at the right time in the road while the front is light under heavy acceleration which send them into a bad slapper
as far as im concerned every bike needs a damper

Man that's a good vid
Nearly shit my pants justs watching it and Boy did it bring back a few scary memories from the haze :o .
I've found the SP to be quite nasty if you sharpen up the geometry too much, especially if you wind up the rear shock too much. Keep the back end a bit softer and it calms her down a treat.
Gota lov it though haven't you ;)

My mate swears by em on his SP1 and ive never botherd, think its just a personal choice thing on the road. Plus the only time i have a problem is when i pin it and i hit a bump/catseye in the road then it shakes a bit but hey...think my Firestorm was worse that had a mind of its own sometimes, but good fun

I agree Wyvern that looked like a Blade with a 'leccy damper on to me so not a great advert for 'em realy...oh and ive seen that pic of Wild1 over the mountain at Cadwell and i think your in a better place than most to comment on ridding it hard or not

I've got a Hyperpro damper on my SP2. I took it off a few weeks back, but then bottled it and put it back on without riding anywhere.

Do I ride it hard enough to warrant a £600 damper? Probably not, but it was on the bike when I got it, so no harm leaving it on. Personally, I'd rather have it there and not need it, than take it off only to find the very next ride I end up in a hedge because I could have done with it...

I had to watch that blade vid on youtube about six times... I can't believe he got away with it!

Cheers,

Jon.
