Well I was at Brands GP doing a trackday today, and I got my suspension setup professionally by Colin at '100% suspension'.
He started off with a base setting by setting the static sag etc, then made adjustments after each session to fine tune it to how I wanted it to behave.
I can safely say it has TRANSFORMED the bike (i.e. bike turns in quicker and holds it's line well) - some of the best money I have spent on the bike so far!
Now I realise that each bike is slightly different, we all ride different etc etc blah blah, but I thought I'd share my settings with you all just in case anyone needs any guidance in this dept (it was information I was looking for when I first bought the bike:)
(BTW i'm about 12.5 stone rider inc. kit)
Front
Preload - 4 lines showing
Compression - 10 clicks out from fully in
Rebound - 6 clicks out from fully in
Rear
Preload Position 2 of 9
Compression - 6 clicks out from fully in
Rebound - 1.75 Turns out from fully in
These are obviously track settings, however they also work well for the road.... the only thing you might consider changing for the road would be to reduce the front/rear compression by a click or two to tame the beast over bumps
!!!
cheers
John
